- turn off unimportant visual effect
- run "start"
- right click on "computer"
- click "properties"
- click "advanced system settings"
- click "advanced" tab
- click "setting" on "performance" columns
- in the "visual effect" tab select "adjust for best performance"

- turn off aero shake
- turn off aero snap
- turn off uneeded startup application
- disabling gadget
- use all cores for booting
- clean up hardisk
- hardisk defragment
- turning off system sound
- disable search index
- delete the contents of the prefecth folder
